…you are in me, and I am in you (John 14:20 NIV).
While preparing for a Christian writers conference, I searched my pantry, and found a small clear ball with another smaller ball inside, floating in a liquid. The yellow ball appeared to have two different drawings on it. When turned one way, the inner ball looked as though it smiled. When turned the opposite direction, it appeared to frown.
As I picked up the ball, I heard, “…you are in me and I am in you” (John 14:20 NIV).
All of a sudden, I felt another presence in the room. God taught me a great object lesson with the ball. He let me know that it didn’t matter if I felt happy or sad; to did not change my position in him.
A few days later, I attended the writers conference in Glorieta, New Mexico. While there, I literally felt as if I were in a bubble-as if God were totally surrounding me. I knew He was with me and would empower me to fulfill my call.
Father, please make us more aware your presence at work within us and through us as we seek your will. In Jesus’ name, amen.
